21phi is a Shopify Hydrogen agency with Shopify Plus experience, based in Toronto, Canada, and working with direct-to-consumer brands across North America, starting with the United States. We are for brands that want one embedded team to design, build and keep running their storefront after launch, rather than a developer who ships and leaves.
Shopify Hydrogen is Shopify's React-based framework for building headless storefronts on top of Shopify's Storefront API; current versions are built on React Router (formerly Remix). It gives a brand full control of the storefront while Shopify keeps running products, orders, customers and checkout.
The usual model is to hand over a finished store and move on. Ours is different. An embedded team is 21phi's engagement model after launch: the agency works inside the client's channels and roadmap as the storefront, analytics and growth team, on a monthly retainer scoped per client. That costs more than a body shop, and it pays because the context never leaves the room: the people who built the storefront are the people who fix it, extend it and read its numbers. 21phi was co-founded by Sergey Gridin, who leads the engineering and analytics work with clients: he ships storefront changes and presents the weekly analytics review. He is the author of AI for Ecommerce Analytics: Ask Your Store Data Anything.

We join the client's own channels: the web group, the customer care thread, the wider team chat. Questions are answered where they are asked, by a named senior person who knows the store, its history and its roadmap. No account layer sits between you and the people who know your codebase.
Customer care asks for a final-sale label on a product page. Logistics needs the inventory sync checked. Marketing needs a landing page for a drop. All of it lands with us: integrations, visuals, broken apps, urgent fixes, analytics.
We say what Shopify's hosted checkout can and cannot do, and when a request is better deferred. When a third-party app misbehaves, we chase the vendor. We own the tracking layer from storefront to checkout, read results by segment, and review what changed with the client every week.
A body shop bills for tickets and leaves when the ticket closes. An embedded team carries the context, the roadmap and the responsibility between tickets. That is where the value is: fewer handoffs and a storefront that keeps improving. Shopify support and maintenance describes what the retainer covers.

Shopify Plus is Shopify's enterprise plan with higher limits, checkout extensibility, Shopify Functions, B2B and Markets features, and we build on it.
